The Robert Cedergren Centre of the Université de Montréal seeks to catalyze basic research and teaching in the fields of bioinformatics and genomics from a mutidisciplinary perspective, integrating biochemistry, computer science, medicine, mathematics, biology, physics and chemistry.

The mission of the Centre is defined by the following objectives:

  • To facilitate collaboration in bioinformatic and genomic research among the various departments and faculties within the Université de Montréal, with other Canadian universities, and with institutions around the world.
  • To attract the most promising students to undergraduate and graduate programs and to postdoctoral positions in bioinformatics and genomics.
  • To establish links with the private sector.
