The Robert Cedergren Centre of the
Université de
Montréal
seeks to catalyze basic research and teaching in the fields of
bioinformatics and genomics from a mutidisciplinary perspective, integrating
biochemistry, computer science, medicine, mathematics, biology, physics
and chemistry.
The mission of the
Centre is defined by the following objectives:
- To facilitate collaboration
in bioinformatic and genomic research among the various departments
and faculties within the Université de Montréal, with other Canadian
universities, and with institutions around the world.

To attract the most promising students to undergraduate and graduate
programs and to postdoctoral positions in bioinformatics and
genomics.
- To establish links with the
private sector.
